[Workshop] EpiGen Ethiopia Virtual Bioinformation and Sequencing Consultation Sessions

The Institute for Medical Microbiology and Hospital Hygiene at the Heinrich-Heine University Düsseldorf is offering bi-weekly open bioinformatics and sequencing consultation sessions to all EpiGen partner sites in Ethiopia as part of Work Package 4. The objective of these sessions is to provide short and medium long-term trainings to increase critical mass of experts on pathogen genomic epidemiology in clinical, epidemiological, sequencing, bioinformatics, research methods, etc. The frequency of the meetings can be increased to weekly sessions if deemed necessary. These sessions will be conducted with Prof. Alexander Dilthey and Anna Rommerskirchen. If you have any questions about the sessions, you can contact the institute directly by emailing: epigen_hhud@med.uni-duesseldorf.de.

As most partners are intending to sequence soon, these sessions are meant to help answer questions related to experiment setup. Moreover, partners that have begun sequencing results but still have questions regarding either the results or with analyses will be able to discuss these during the consultation sessions. Finally, the bi-weekly meetings serve to find solutions together for any sequencing/analyzing challenges the partners face at this stage of the project.

The Institute for Medical Microbiology and Hospital Hygiene at the Heinrich-Heine University Düsseldorf is a consortium partner of the EpiGen Ethiopia project.

The sessions will be held bi-weekly on Fridays at 14:00, CET with the first session beginning on the 22nd of December, 14:00 CET.
